Hi Sourav,

Sounds like a very interesting study. I would also recommend netnography
(Kozinets 2019). If you’re looking at language use, I recommend
ethnographically grounded discourse analytic methods (Karimzad 2016;
Roth-Gordon 2020).

Kozinets RV (2019) Netnography: The Essential Guide to Qualitative Social
Media Research. 3rd edn. Los Angeles: SAGE.

Karimzad F (2016) Life here beyond now: chronotopes of the ideal life among
Iranian
transnationals. Journal of Sociolinguistics 20(5): 607–630. DOI:
10.1111/josl.12211

Roth-Gordon J (2020) Situating discourse analysis in ethnographic and
sociopolitical context. In: De Fina A and Georgakopoulou A (eds) The
Cambridge Handbook of Discourse Studies. Cambridge: Cambridge University

There's also this article specifically doing research on social media:
Chau, Dennis. 2021. “Spreading Language Ideologies through Social Media:
Enregistering the ‘Fake ABC’ Variety in Hong Kong.” *Journal of
Sociolinguistics* 25 (4): 596–616. doi:10.1111/josl.12486
