[Air-L] A book on Generative AI in Cuba

Dear colleagues,

I wanted to share with you a book that I have just published in Cuba
together with two co-authors about Generative AI, with the support of
the institute where I work, the Juan Marinello Cuban Cultural Research
Institute. In the book, I rely on the concept of social appropriation
of technology to promote an ethical, reliable, robust, and sovereign
use of the IA. Although it is in Spanish (and I apologize for that),
it may be of interest to those with curiosity about how generative AI
is being approached from the island, and a little more from the Global
South. I also believe that Spanish-speaking researchers who are
members of this list may find it interesting.

Queridos colegas,

Queria compartir con ustedes un libro que acabo de publicar en Cuba
junto a dos coautoras sobre IA generativa. Lo publiqué bajo el sello
editorial del instituto donde trabajo, Instituto Cubano de
Investigación Cultural Juan Marinello. En el libro me apoyo en el
concepto de apropiación social de la tecnología para promover un uso
etico, fiable, robusto y soberano de la IA. Aunque está en español (y
pido disculpas por eso) puede ser de interés para aquellos con
curiosidad sobre como se está asumiendo la IA generativa desde la
isla, y un poco más desde el Sur. También creo que los investigadores
hispano hablantes, miembros de esta lista, pueden encontrarlo de
interés.
