Dear all,

With apologies for cross posting, we're proud to announce a new special issue of Digital Culture and Education has been released today, guest edited by Anna Keune (Technical University of Munich), Paulina Ruiz Cabello (University of Bristol), Kylie Aine Peppler (University of California, Irvine), and Kerry Chappell (University of Exeter)

Across 13 papers, the issue explores and maps posthuman methodological approaches to the study of learning. Papers include explorations of new materialism, social-ecological futures, creative writing and literacies of the future, maker education and biomaking, the ecology of escape rooms, the labor of caring, diffractive methodologies, rhizomatic patchworks, multispecies storytelling, consent and automation, cyborgs and Didaktik, touch and senses, and situational analysis.

It's a really exciting collection of works that showcases provocative and considered methodological engagements with, through, and despite the digital. A good reading list for the end-of-year period! The special issue can be found here:

As always, our ongoing issue is also accepting papers, so please do consider submitting your work for consideration in Digital Culture and Education. We particularly encourage submissions that play with form and presentation of academic work, so please do reach out to the editorial team to discuss any ideas you have. Details of the process for submission can be found here:

Wishing you all a pleasant end of the year!

Harry and the DCE team
